How do I add and manage my sensors?

Whether you're setting up your initial sensor or swapping out a sensor for a replacement, we've got you covered.

How do I link a sensor for the first time to my Dashboard?

Once your location has been created, you can then add your sensor(s) to the dashboard.

Therma° App:

  1. Open your app.
  2. Click the "+ plus" icon on the top of your screen.
  3. Select "Add Equipment".
  4. Select the location or facility that the equipment is located within.
    1. If you have not configured your location, you will need to go do that first.
  5. Specify the type of equipment that the sensor will be monitoring.
    1. Options include: Reach-in refrigerator, Reach-in freezer, Walk-in refrigerator, Walk-in freezer, or Other.
  6. Input a name for the equipment that the sensor will be monitoring. For example, "Backroom Freezer #2."
  7. Set your temperature threshold. This threshold will inform all alerts created for this unit. If the unit goes either above or below your thresholds, you will receive an alert (if configured).
    1. Optional: Add your humidity threshold if you plan to create humidity alerts for your unit.
  8. Scan the QR Code on the front of your sensor.
    1. You can also manually type in the Serial Number starting with LHT or HT65 instead.
  9. Activate your sensor by holding down the ACT Button for 5 seconds.
  10. Input the optional advanced details, such as the current Set Point of your unit, installation date of the unit, dimensions, type, and charge.
  11. Clicking "next" will link your sensor to the dashboard.
  12. If you have more equipment to add to this location, click "Add equipment". If you do not, click "Done"

We recommend adding sensors in the app in order to utilize the QR code on the front of your sensors, instead of manually entering the sensor serial number. You will also be able to access a Connectivity Testing Screen when adding a sensor via app. However, adding a sensor on our web dashboard is also possible.

Therma° Web Dashboard:

  1. Select the location in which you intend to add a sensor.
  2. Click on the pink, + add Equipment icon on the right-hand side of the screen.
  3. Input the name of the equipment that the sensor will be monitoring. Ex: Backroom Freezer #2
  4. Enter the Sensor ID. This will be listed as the Serial Number on the front of your sensor and typically starts with either LHT65 or LHT65N.
  5. Input what type of equipment it is: Reach in refrigerator, Reach in freezer, Walk-in refrigerator, Walk-in freezer, or Other
  6. Enter your Set Point. This is the temperature that your unit is currently set to operate at and will actively be attempting to cool to throughout the day.
  7. Set your temperature threshold. This threshold will inform all alerts created for this unit. If the unit goes either above or below your thresholds, you will receive an alert (if configured).
  8. Optional: Add your humidity threshold if you plan to create humidity alerts for your unit.
  9. Click Save.
