Manik appears as a Keynote Speaker for PAW Climate

Last week, Therma° CEO and Founder, Manik Suri, participated as Predictive Analytics World Climate’s (PAW Climate) very first keynote speaker. The speech titled, “How Climate Tech became profitable.” 

PAW Climate brings the global community together to address the climate crisis and how companies are using things such as electrical grids, supply chain optimization, and creating energy efficiency to lessen the impact of climate change. 

Suri discussed the origins of climate technology and whether or not climate change is a math or marketing problem. The math: right now, 50 billion tons of greenhouse gases are added to the atmosphere. How can we stop it? The marketing: are individuals taking the proper precautions to address climate change? 

“Climate tech is profitable today and becoming increasingly profitable because of a series of things that have changed,” Suri said. 

Suri believes we are beginning a massive wave of opportunity with climate tech.  “Ultimately, innovators and entrepreneurs are changing the technology solution; making them cheaper, better, more affordable, more competitive, and enabling climate tech companies to out-compete traditional companies.” 

There is currently a 35% technology gap to reaching zero greenhouse emissions. Companies like Therma° are striving to bridge this gap using IoT technology to prevent food waste and reduce energy.
